Program Description:

FBL Virtual Global WIL Program
About the program

Undergraduate and postgraduate students are invited to join the exciting Virtual Global Work Integrated Learning Program in February 2021. The program will run for a two week period, where students will work on an international business consultancy project virtually.
Projects will be based on a range of business related disciplines where you will work as part of a consultancy team to develop the best outcome for the overseas based clients.

Each project is sourced by Deakin Business School to ensure sound academic content together with deep engagement between Deakin students, their industry professional and the academic supervisor. All components are structured carefully taking into consideration industry feedback to develop students’ transferable skills which are highly sought after by employers. Additionally, students will be able to put their knowledge into practice and gain valuable experience.

Each team will be supported by Deakin staff who will manage the program and students will receive a certificate of completion at the conclusion of the program.

  • Design Thinking workshop
  • Business consulting meetings with host company
  • Meetings with industry experts
  • Resume and LinkedIn session

Note that the program will be completed fully virtually given the restrictions due to COVID-19.

The program will require a full-time commitment from Monday to Friday each week. Groups may be required to work afterhours or on weekends to meet project deadline and attend meetings with the business.

Program Dates:
Monday 22 February - Friday 5 March 2021

The program will be considered a Trimester 1 unit enrolment and the result for the unit will be released during T1 results release in July.
