Program

Program
Experience Deakin’s world class education for a trimester at Deakin Warrnambool.

With internationally recognised research and teaching, Deakin ranked 211 in the prestigious Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) putting it in the top 2% of the world’s universities.

Created through the partnership between Deakin University and Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB University), the Trimester Program at Deakin Warrnambool will provide opportunities for IPB students to undertake 3-4 units at Deakin Warrnambool.

Our Warrnambool campus is located at the fantastic coastal area of South-west Victoria home to Australia’s leading agribusinesses and environmental programs. With local surf beaches, popular tourist attractions combined with a state-of-the-art learning and teaching facilities and a series of industry visits all easily accessible from our Warrnambool campus, learning opportunities are endless. During their Trimester Program, IPB students will also have the opportunity to join a tour to our Burwood and Geelong campuses.

With flexibility to commence in either Trimester 1 (February) or Trimester 2 (July), IPB students can enrol in a range of units including in agribusiness, commerce, and environmental science which are delivered as part of Deakin’s internationally recognised Bachelor of Commerce, and Bachelor of Environmental Science programs.

Our agribusiness offering will provide you opportunity to improve your understanding of managing complex, technology-intensive agricultural systems, governance and regulatory frameworks. With the world’s population expected to reach 9.8 billion in and challenges to produce healthier and more socially and environmentally-responsible food, the food and agribusiness sector has never been more important. Our work-readiness focus will enable you to participate in industry visits and workshops allowing you to hear first-hand from industry and government representatives about opportunities and challenges facing both Australia’s and global agricultural sectors.

As part of the Trimester Program, you will also have the opportunity to study a range of Commerce units including in economics, finance and accounting offered by Deakin Business School (DBS). DBS is accredited by AACSB International and our Bachelor of Commerce program is EPAS accredited by the European Foundation for Management Development.

Deakin Warrnambool is also home to the Bachelor of Environmental Science program with a strong focus on fieldwork and practical experiences. Study areas include sustainability, wildlife and conservation, marine health and ecosystems.

Join our Trimester Program at Deakin Warrnambool and be ready for the world beyond in-class activities.
