Business Ethics in the Global Market
This program has been assessed as a Level 3 Elective towards a Marketing major or equivalent to MMM343
Approved by Business and Law

The ethical landscape of business is constantly changing, and this course will examine those changes most effecting business: accelerating globalization, constant technological updates, proliferating of business scandals.
You will be introduced to the ethical concepts that are relevant to resolving moral issues in business; imparting the reasoning and analytical skills needed to apply ethical concepts to business decisions; identifying moral issues specific to a business; providing an understanding of the social, technological, and natural environments within which moral issues in business arise; and using case studies of actual moral conflicts faced by businesses.
This course is an analysis of how business and society interact through the study of consumerism, technology, and ethical and moral conviction. It is also an introduction to the concept of business ethics, an overview of major ethical issues that businesses face today, and a discussion of moral philosophy through an understanding of classical and contemporary ethical theories.

You will live with a French family during your January program in Aix-en-Provence. Many students report that their homestay was one of the best and most memorable parts of their overseas experience – you get the opportunity to be immersed in the French culture and have a built-in family and support network in your new city. All host families have been carefully selected and, in the majority of cases, have hosted international students on our partner programs for many years. Most of the homes are a 15 to 35-minute walk from the University. The stay includes either a single or a double (shared) bedroom, daily breakfast and six dinners per week. The family will provide bed linens, pillows and blankets (you will need to bring your own towel). There is generally Internet access at the home (but not always), and you’ll have access to Internet in cafés around the city.

Cost: $6,399
Program fees include tuition fee, pre-departure guide and session, airport pickup, on-site orientation and reception, accommodation – homestay, day excursion to Marseille, all breakfasts and 6 dinners per week in homestay, assistance with travel arrangements, textbook rental, scheduled cultural activities. This is a Study Abroad program meaning no tuition is paid to Deakin University.
