About Mexicali

MexicoMexicali owes its name to the mixing of the words and the territories of México and California, since its founders were colonists from both sides of the border. Mexicali is an industrial city that also offers museums and art galleries.

The Museo Universitario (University Museum) is home to permanent and temporary exhibitions. El Bosque y Zoologico de la Ciudad (City Woods and Zoo) and the emerald green water of Guadalupe Canyon will remind you that coexisting with nature is essential to the evolution of man. You can walk along the Dunas de los Algodones where feeling the wind that blows free will make you feel free as well.

The green Laguna Salada (Salt Lagoon), with its canyons, cave paintings, petroglyphs and archaeological sites are just a few examples of the many contrasts that you will find in Mexicali. (Source)

About the Mexico

Palm-fringed beaches, chili-spiced cuisine; steamy jungles, teeming cities; fiesta fireworks, Frida’s angst: Mexico conjures up diverse, vivid dreams. And the reality lives up to the imagining.

With steaming jungles, smoking, snowcapped volcanoes, cactus-strewn deserts and 10,000km of coast strung with sandy beaches and wildlife-rich lagoons, Mexico is an endless adventure for the senses and a place where life is lived largely in the open air. Take it easy dining alfresco beside a Pacific beach or strolling Guanajuato's colonial streets. Or get out and hike Oaxaca's mountain cloud forests or snorkel warm Caribbean reefs. (Source)
