Program Description:


FBL Euro Business Program

Undergraduate students are invited to join the European Business Management Study Program in June – July 2018. Students will travel through France and Hungary, and will have the opportunity to undertake a unit over this 3 week period with partner university Ecole Superieure de Commerce d'Angers (ESSCA) - Understanding European Business Environment. Students will travel in a group and will be supported by Deakin and ESSCA staff who will manage the program and facilitate site visits, lecturers and social activities.

Angers and Paris – France, Budapest – Hungary
  • Guest lectures and seminars delivered by ESSCA staff on topics such as European Economics, French Culture, Fiscal Policy and Fiscal Politics, and Intercultural Communication.
  • Site visits to specially selected businesses e.g. Cointreau.
  • Time to explore famous locations in these cities and tourist sites e.g. Chateau de Chenonceau, Eiffel Tower, Budapest sightseeing tour.

Program Dates:
Saturday 16 June - Sunday 8 July 2018
Students are welcome to continue travelling after the program concludes.

*Students will be provided a full refund if Deakin Business School cancels the program.

Students will enrol in ESSCA unit MXP302 - Understanding European Business Environment.
Assessment will include a written exam plus verbal and written assignments throughout the program.

  1. M300.1 Students studying a marketing major can select this subject as a major elective unit.
  2. M300.2 and all other Deakin Business School students will select this unit as a general elective.

The subsidised program cost will be $3,500
Please note, eligible students can apply to receive up to $6,665 from OS-Help funding to support your program. Please read the criteria carefully.

Important to note:

  1. Students do not need to gain approval from a student adviser prior to applying for this program – eligibility will be confirmed by the International Team via Student     Services.
  2. Program cost is subject to change, students will be notified of final costs when applications close.
  3. Final itinerary is subject to change and changes to this does not qualify students for a refund.
  4. This program is available to Domestic and International students.
  5. A minimum number of students is required in order for this program to run, the Deakin Business School has the right to cancel this program if this is not achieved.
  6. Students will still need to pay their Deakin Unit fee for each unit they participate in as per their normal fee arrangements.
