Deakin Abroad is looking for enthusiastic and energetic volunteer Global Leaders to work in our offices at the Waurn Ponds Campus and Geelong Waterfront Campus for T1 and T2 of 2020.
 
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to participate in many incoming international exchange student activities and be rewarded with a number of different professional and personal opportunities!  
 
We have extended the deadline for Geelong to Monday the 20th January 2020—interviews will occur shortly thereafter.

Global Leader Positions:

• 10 Positions available at Waurn Ponds Campus
• 5 Positions available at Waterfront Campus 

 What you’ll gain:

• Guidance in the International Education sector
• Funding insights and assistance for a future Deakin Abroad trip
• Experience in a professional workplace

Requirements:

• Current Deakin student
• Previously been on a Deakin overseas program
• Ability to handle basic office responsibilities, work reception, and promote programs
• 3-4 hours per week available during T1 and T2 at either the Geelong Waterfront or Waurn Ponds campus

Tasks may include, but are not limited to:

• Attend Global Leadership training session
• Volunteer for 3-4 hours per week at Waurn Ponds or Geelong Waterfront to assist office staff in overseas student advising, program promotions, and other administrative responsibilities
• Participate in some Deakin Abroad outreach activities (e.g. Beach Welcome the 25th—27th of Feb, O-Week 2nd March—6th March)
• Potentially participate and coordinate events within the Deakin Study Abroad and Exchange Club (DSAC)

• Interviews will take place in early February. Skype interviews are an option
• Please note: If you are currently abroad but will have returned to Australia by February 20th 2020, please include your return date in the email with your application and we will do our best to make alternative arrangements for your interview
