GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP VOLUNTEERINGVolunteering Projects are a great way to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate in our world.
The programs are designed to provide you with a life changing experience and expand your understanding of cultural differences at the same time as making new friends and seeing the world.
You will have the opportunity to assist a community in need and also take time to enjoy your surroundings on included excursions and 'down time'. It's a great balance and you may find that you won't want to leave.
To find out what programs are currently taking applications please search the Programs tab and in advance search choose Program Type - Volunteering.
Applications are currently open for -
Peru Machu Picchu Program (application close 17/3/14)
Spiti Valley Eco Tourism Project (application close 28/3/14)
Fiji Project 2013
Deakin Volunteering programs run for 2-3 weeks in both the Inter-Trimester break (June/July) and Trimester 3 (Nov-Feb).
Each program is open to students from all faculties. Read our Volunteering Book for more information.
If you are an experienced traveller and have undertaken a Deakin International Exchange program, this could be a great opportunity to participate on a volunteer program as a student leader.
